Hey, we all know what a thirteenth cheque is. Supposed to be a performance bonus paid out annually. Most places where there is some union activity, everybody gets the equivalent of one month's pay as a bonus. And I suppose that is OK if you don't have a reasonable superior who who uses the terminology 'us' and 'we' in stead of 'I', but have a seething bitch (of any sex) as a superior.
But then some of us corporate employees have not heard of the fourteenth cheque.
Ever wondered why procurement never have the stationary you wanted? Printers have no toner for 3 to 4 weeks. Why does that key post take six months to be filled? Why is there a moratorium on filling posts resulting in employees holding multiple positions with no compensation? Why is work sent out to another overloaded branch while vacant posts at your branch are advertised with peanuts for a salary? Why do critical repairs not get authorized by management, and why in the end do you go out and buy a kettle for your department from your own pocket. And if you go to town to purchase an item for a client in the spirit of giving the best service, why does petty cash take six months and twenty reminders to refund you?
All the savings that management makes goes towards a special bonus, the 14th cheque. This goes to the corporate manager and others at HQ, and to your general (branch) manager, accountant and some departments heads, except you.
You and those in your department are the ones who sit with all the kak and others rake in the cash.
So to those who manipulate the system for their benefit . . . . the thing is going to catch up to you as more and more staff get sick of you greedy face.
So
